Auto-Recharge

Auto-recharge automatically tops up your wallet when your balance runs low, so your campaigns keep running without interruption.

Overview

When auto-recharge is enabled, Volume Reach monitors your wallet balance and automatically charges your payment method to reload funds whenever your balance drops below the threshold you set. You choose both the trigger threshold and the reload amount — giving you full control over how aggressively your wallet is replenished.

Auto-recharge is available on all paid plans (Launch, Growth, and Scale).

How It Works

  1. Go to Settings > Billing > Auto-Recharge.
  2. Enable auto-recharge using the toggle on that page.
  3. Set your threshold. This is the wallet balance at which an automatic reload is triggered. For example, if you set your threshold to $25, a top-up will be initiated whenever your balance falls to $25 or below.
  4. Set your reload amount. This is how much is added to your wallet each time auto-recharge fires. The minimum reload amount is $20.
  5. Save your settings. Auto-recharge is now active. You will receive an email confirmation each time an automatic top-up occurs.

Choosing Your Threshold and Reload Amount

A good rule of thumb is to set your threshold high enough that a reload completes before your balance hits zero during an active campaign, and to set your reload amount large enough that you don't trigger multiple reloads in a single day.

Example: If your campaigns typically spend $50/day, setting a threshold of $30 and a reload amount of $100 gives you a comfortable buffer. Your balance will refill to approximately $130 before it gets critically low, and a single reload covers about two days of usage.

Example: If you run lighter campaigns that spend $10/day, a threshold of $15 and a reload amount of $20 keeps your wallet funded with minimal overhead.

Disabling Auto-Recharge

  1. Go to Settings > Billing > Auto-Recharge.
  2. Toggle auto-recharge off.
  3. Save your settings.

Once disabled, your wallet will no longer be topped up automatically. You will need to add funds manually before your balance reaches zero to avoid campaign interruptions.

Notifications

Every time auto-recharge fires, you will receive:

  • An email receipt to the address on your account with the amount charged and your new wallet balance.
  • An in-app notification visible in the billing section of the platform.

If an auto-recharge attempt fails (for example, due to an expired card), you will receive an alert and your auto-recharge setting will be automatically disabled until you update your payment method and re-enable it.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Set your threshold above your typical per-campaign spend. If a single campaign run costs around $40, set your threshold to at least $50 so auto-recharge fires with enough runway to complete before you hit zero.
  • Set a reload amount that covers several days of usage. Larger, less frequent reloads are easier to track than many small ones.
  • Keep your payment method up to date. Auto-recharge will fail silently if your card is expired. Review your payment method at Settings > Billing > Payment Method.
  • Review auto-recharge history in the Usage Dashboard. You can see every auto-recharge transaction alongside your usage activity. See Usage Dashboard.

Troubleshooting

Auto-recharge fired but my campaign still paused. There can be a brief moment between when your balance hits zero and when the auto-recharge payment clears. If your campaign paused during that window, it should resume automatically once the reload is confirmed. If not, go to your campaign and manually resume it.

I keep getting multiple auto-recharge charges in a single day. Your reload amount may be too low relative to your daily usage. Increase the reload amount so that each top-up covers more than one day of activity.

Auto-recharge was disabled and I didn't turn it off. A failed payment attempt automatically disables auto-recharge to prevent repeated failed charges. Check your payment method at Settings > Billing > Payment Method, update it if needed, and re-enable auto-recharge.

I don't see an auto-recharge option. Auto-recharge is only available on paid plans. Free accounts must upgrade to Launch or higher to access this feature.
