How It Works

Voicemail Drop

When your AI agent is dialing contacts and one of them does not answer, the AI detects that the call has reached voicemail and automatically plays your chosen pre-recorded message. The contact receives the voicemail just as they would from a human caller.

Voicemail Drop is billed per successful drop. See Voicemail Drop for full details.

Ringless Voicemail

Ringless Voicemail (RVM) delivers your audio message directly into a contact's voicemail inbox without their phone ever ringing. This is a non-intrusive way to reach large lists at scale without placing a traditional call.

RVM is available exclusively on the Scale plan and is billed per delivery. See Ringless Voicemail for full details.

Voicemail Templates

Both features draw from the same library of voicemail templates. Templates are short, pre-recorded audio messages that you upload and organize in Volume Reach. You can maintain separate templates for different campaigns, audiences, or messages.

See Voicemail Templates to learn how to create and manage your library.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Keep messages short. Voicemails under 30 seconds are far more likely to be listened to in full. Get to the point quickly.
  • Include a clear call to action. Tell the listener exactly what to do next — call back a specific number, visit a page, or expect a follow-up text.
  • Record in a quiet environment. Background noise makes messages feel unprofessional and can be distracting. A clear recording builds trust.
  • Test your templates before launching. Call your own number using a template to hear exactly what your contacts will hear.
  • Create separate templates for different audiences. A message for cold prospects should sound different from one sent to warm leads or past customers.
