SMS Templates

Save your most-used messages as templates so you can send consistent, polished broadcasts in seconds.

Overview

SMS Templates let you write a message once and reuse it across as many broadcasts as you need. Templates are especially useful for follow-up sequences, standard offer messages, and appointment reminders that you send regularly. Instead of retyping (or copy-pasting) the same message each time, you simply load a template and send.

Templates are available on all Volume Reach plans.

How It Works

Creating a template

  1. Navigate to SMS Sender and look for the Templates section, or go to your Templates library directly from the settings or SMS menu.
  2. Click New Template.
  3. Give your template a name — something descriptive that will help you find it later, like "Follow-up after no answer" or "Spring promo offer."
  4. Write your message text in the body field.
  5. Save the template. It is immediately available for use in any broadcast.

Using a template in a broadcast

When composing a broadcast, click Use a Template and select the template you want. The message text loads automatically into the compose box. You can edit the text before sending — loading a template does not lock the message.

Editing and deleting templates

You can update a template at any time from your Templates library. Changes apply to future broadcasts only — messages that were already sent are not affected.

To remove a template you no longer need, select it and click Delete.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Name templates clearly. A good template name tells you at a glance what the message is for and when to use it. Avoid generic names like "Template 1."
  • Keep templates focused. One template, one purpose. If you find yourself heavily editing a template before every send, it may be better to create a new, more specific template.
  • Update templates when your offer or language changes. Stale templates can lead to sending outdated information. Review your templates periodically to make sure they are still accurate.
  • Use templates to enforce consistency. When multiple team members send broadcasts, templates ensure everyone uses the same approved language and branding.
  • Combine templates with audience filters. A well-named template paired with a saved audience filter makes your broadcast workflow fast and repeatable.
