Pick from a library of natural-sounding voices — or clone your own — to match the tone and personality of your brand.
Overview
The voice your agent uses makes a significant first impression. Volume Reach gives you two voice providers to choose from: Cartesia (standard, included on all plans) and ElevenLabs (premium, available as an add-on). Both produce natural, human-sounding speech, but they differ in quality, variety, and cost.
Cartesia — Standard Voices
Cartesia is the default voice provider included with every Volume Reach plan at no extra per-minute charge beyond your normal AI Connected Minutes usage.
What you get with Cartesia:
- A library of pre-built voices covering a range of genders, accents, and speaking styles
- Fast, low-latency delivery that keeps conversations feeling natural and responsive
- Included in all plans — no additional per-voice fee
- Suitable for the vast majority of outreach use cases
Cartesia voices are a great choice when you want to launch quickly, keep costs predictable, and still deliver a professional caller experience.
ElevenLabs — Premium Voices
ElevenLabs offers a higher tier of voice quality, with more expressive, lifelike speech and a broader selection of voices. This option is well-suited for campaigns where voice quality is a key part of the brand experience.
What you get with ElevenLabs:
- More expressive, emotionally nuanced delivery
- A larger library of premium voice options
- Voice cloning (see below)
- Billed at a higher per-minute rate than Cartesia — see Usage Rates for details
ElevenLabs is available as an opt-in feature. It is not enabled by default. To use ElevenLabs voices on an agent, select one of the ElevenLabs options in the voice picker when creating or editing your agent.
Voice Cloning
Voice cloning lets you create a synthetic voice that sounds like a specific person — such as a top-performing sales rep or a branded spokesperson. Cloned voices are created from audio recordings and are available through ElevenLabs.
To use a cloned voice:
- Prepare a clean audio recording of the person whose voice you want to clone (typically a few minutes of natural speech).
- Contact Volume Reach support to set up the cloned voice in your account.
- Once created, the cloned voice will appear in your agent's voice picker.
Voice cloning is subject to ElevenLabs' terms of use. You must have explicit consent from the person whose voice is being cloned.

Choose Cartesia if you want a reliable, professional-sounding agent at a predictable cost.
Choose ElevenLabs if voice quality is a priority for your brand, you want more voice variety, or you need voice cloning.
Tips & Best Practices
- Match voice tone to your audience. A calm, measured voice works well for financial services. A warmer, more upbeat voice may perform better for home services or solar.
- Test multiple voices. Use the Agent Playground to listen to different voices before committing. What sounds great in isolation may feel different in a real conversation flow.
- Consider speaking pace. Some voices speak faster or slower by default. A pace that feels natural for one script may feel rushed or slow for another.
- Monitor ElevenLabs usage. Because ElevenLabs is billed at a premium rate, review your usage in the billing dashboard if you run high-volume campaigns.
