Lead Sources (No-Code Integrations)
Pick the tool your leads come from, follow a short recipe, send yourself a test lead, and new leads start arriving — with the AI calling them within a minute if you want.
Overview
A Lead Source is a connection between a tool you already use and Volume Reach. When that tool gets a new lead, it sends the lead to Volume Reach, the lead lands in the pipeline stage you chose, and the speed-to-lead trigger can call them right away. You set it up from a guided recipe; there is no code to write.
Lead Sources live under Automation → Lead Sources. Each tile is one recipe:
- GoHighLevel
- Podio
- Carrot
- REIPro
- REIReply
- Facebook Lead Ads
- Zapier — for anything else that Zapier connects to
- Generic webhook — for a developer wiring up a tool that is not listed
If your tool is not on the list, Zapier covers most of them. HubSpot users can connect through Zapier or the public API.
How It Works
Step 1 — Choose a recipe
Open Automation → Lead Sources and pick the tile for your tool. The recipe opens with the exact steps for that tool, including where to paste your key.
Step 2 — Paste your key into the other tool
Each Lead Source gets its own key. Follow the recipe: it tells you which field in the other tool takes the key. Some tools, like GoHighLevel's free Webhook action, have no header field, so the key rides inside the lead itself — the recipe shows you exactly where. Never put the key in a web address.
Step 3 — Choose where leads land
Pick the pipeline stage new leads should enter, and decide whether the AI should call them. Turn on the call and new leads get an AI call within about a minute of arriving. See Speed-to-Lead Trigger for how that call is set up and what happens outside calling hours.
Step 4 — Send a test lead
Press the test button in the recipe and submit a lead from the other tool — your own name and number is fine. The recipe waits for it and shows you what arrived: the fields the tool sent, the contact it created, and the stage it landed in. If nothing arrives, the diagnostics wizard walks through the usual causes.
Step 5 — Go live
Once the test lead shows up correctly, you are done. Every new lead from that tool follows the same path.
What happens when a lead arrives
- The lead becomes a contact (or matches one you already have by phone number).
- It enters the stage you chose and shows up on the Lead Detail Page.
- If you turned on the AI call, the speed-to-lead trigger fires. During the first 15 minutes after a lead arrives the first text or call goes out at any hour, including weekends; later steps wait for your sending window.
- Everything the AI learns — outcome, recording, transcript, summary — is written back to the contact.
Tips & Best Practices
- Test with a real lead, not a guess. The test step shows you the actual field names your tool sends, so you can see which ones map to name, phone and address.
- One Lead Source per tool. Separate keys mean you can turn one off without touching the others.
- Watch the first few leads. Open the Lead Detail Page for the first real leads and confirm the stage and the AI call behave the way you expect.
- Keep the key private. Anyone with the key can create leads in your account. If it leaks, delete the Lead Source and create it again.
